Enrol
Our school welcomes enrolments throughout the school year. Enrol today or talk to us to find out how your child can join our school.
Enrolling at Oakville Public School
We welcome enrolment enquiries from all families and encourage parents and carers to submit an application, even if you’re unsure about availability.
If you live in our local intake area, your child is entitled to enrol at our school. If you live outside the local area, we still encourage you to apply - your application will be considered based on available places and Department of Education guidelines.
Enrolment availability simply means whether the school has non-local places available at a given time. This depends on the number of local families enrolling. Where enrolment demand exceeds capacity, non-local enrolments may be restricted or declined in accordance with Department of Education procedures.
Availability can change throughout the year as families move in and out of the area.
If you have any questions or would like to talk through your situation, our office staff are happy to help and guide you through the enrolment process.

Children who live in the school’s local intake area are entitled to enrol.
What does “enrolment availability” mean?
Enrolment availability refers to whether the school has non-local places available at a given time. This depends on the number of local enrolment class sizes and the school’s enrolment availability ceiling. Availability can change throughout the year.
Can we apply if we live outside the local area?
Yes. Non-local applications are considered if places are available. When demand exceeds capacity, applications are assessed in line with Department of Education guidelines.
How are non-local enrolment decisions made?
Non-local enrolments are considered based on available places and approved criteria. In some cases, an enrolment panel may be used to ensure decisions are fair and transparent.
